Operational Risk - IT cost saving

Memory upgrades, add ons, unnecessary software/hardware and untrained colleagues all add to the cost of running an IT system, whether it be 1 laptop or several thousand PCs. The latest gimmick might seem "cool", but is it necessary? Can colleagues be trained more effectively for the benefit of the business? Good housekeeping (daily, monthly, quarterly etc) can speed up PCs as well saving valuable memory space.

  1. Good advice, have just bought a Windows magazine as a result of your blog to solve a problem I have.
